In his resignation statement, printed last Tuesday night, in a pamphlet issued by Ken Carpenter and him, Hancock said that he was resigning, "primarily because of poor grades, but at least partly because I don't feel I can fulfill the goal that 'Vitis' must follow to be worth the time spent on it: the goal of a total examination and questioning of given conditions and structures of the college and university.
